Aluminium is clad all the way up the wall rather than stopping at a disc in the base, which is why sauces do not scorch in a ring around the edge. The riveted handle stays cool on a gas hob and the rolled rim pours cleanly from either side. It is induction-ready, oven safe to 260 Celsius and dishwasher safe.
